At KeraMi&Co, we offer you the opportunity to paint your own pottery creations with our glazes and then have them professionally fired.

What’s included:

• Use of our engobes and glazes in the studio
• Support with choosing and applying glaze
• Bisque firing (first firing) and glaze firing (second firing)
  

You can paint your pieces before or after bisque firing:

• Before bisque firing: Paint with engobes or underglazes directly on leather-hard or dry clay.
• After bisque firing: Paint with glazes or underglazes on the porous bisque ware, followed by the glaze firing.
  

How it works:

1. Bring your raw ceramic pieces to the studio.
   
2. Tell us which clay you used – this is the only way we can check if it’s suitable for our firing process.
   
3. Choose your favorite engobes and glazes from our selection and paint your pieces directly in our studio.
   
4. We take care of the professional firing.
   

Firing temperatures:

• Bisque firing: 950 °C
  
• Glaze firing: up to 1200 °C
  

Prices:

• Basic package (engobes + glazes + bisque & glaze firing): CHF 20 per kg and per firing
  (minimum fee: CHF 20)
  

Surcharges (due to space & risk in the kiln):

• Pieces over 15 cm in height: + CHF 18 per piece
• Pieces over 20 cm in height: + CHF 18 per piece
• Diameter over 30 cm: + CHF 13 per piece
  

Includes:

• Use of engobes & glazes
• Bisque firing (1st firing at 950 °C)
• Glaze firing (2nd firing up to 1200 °C)
• Professional handling
  

Important notes:

• Please only bring well-dried pieces (at least one week drying time).
• The base of the pieces must remain free of glaze.
• Only suitable clay can be fired – be sure to provide us with this information.
  

Duration:

• Usually up to three weeks, depending on workload.
  

Costs in case of damage:

• Cleaning kiln shelf after glaze overflow: CHF 30.-
  

Additional notes:

• Each piece is handled with care, but small variations in color or surface may occur during the firing process.
  
• Pieces must be dropped off directly at the studio (please arrange drop-off time in advance).
  
• Payment upon drop-off or by individual arrangement.
