At KeraMi&Co, we offer professional glazing and firing services to turn your raw ceramic pieces into durable, beautifully finished works of art. Whether you’ve created your own masterpiece at home or in our studio, we’ll ensure it’s fired safely and perfectly.

What’s Included:

• Bisque firing (first firing of raw clay)
• Glaze firing (second firing after glazing)
• Careful handling and monitoring throughout the process
  

How it works:

Send us an email with information about your clay and glazes. We will check whether firing with us is possible and let you know if firing in our studio can be done.

Firing temperatures:

• Bisque firing: 950 °C
• Glaze firing: 1150 °C

Prices:

• External ceramics: 14 CHF per kg and firing (minimum fee: 14 CHF)
• Surcharge for glaze firing pieces over 15 cm in height: 15 CHF per piece
• Surcharge for glaze firing pieces over 20 cm in height: 15 CHF per piece
• Surcharge for pieces with a diameter over 30 cm: 10 CHF per piece

Important Notes:

Please only bring well-dried pieces (at least one week drying time), and make sure that the bases of glazed pieces are free from glaze.

Processing time:

We usually calculate a turnaround time of up to three weeks, depending on workload.

Costs in case of damage:

Cleaning the kiln shelf due to glaze overflow: 30 CHF

Additional Notes:

• Each piece is handled with care, but slight variations in color or finish may occur due to the firing process.
• Please drop your pieces off at the studio (Drop-off of pieces must be scheduled in advance to ensure kiln availability.)
• Payment is due at the time of drop-off or as otherwise agreed.
